Sun City Resort, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast our review
Sun City Resort, Surfers Paradise- One of Surfers Paradise’s top family resorts would have to be Sun City Resort located in Ocean Avenue, Surfers Paradise just one street from the beach and a leisurely 5-10 minute stroll to the shopping, dining and entertainment district of Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.
What we like so much about Sun City Resort is the flexibility of the location, just far enough out of town to enjoy a quiet night in but close enough to explore all the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise- it offers the flexibility of being able to accommodate both families and couples.
The resort is rated 4.5 star and contains 1, 2 and 3 bedroom self-contained apartments. The location is fantastic and the views to die for! Most apartments in Sun City Resort Surfers Paradise offer private balconies with breathtaking direct ocean or hinterland views.
Sun City Resort features unique Aztec-inspired architecture and design which is planned around lush tropical gardens, the facilities on offer are sure to keep you entertained during your stay and include an indoor pool and spa, two tennis courts, Sayas Mexican Restaurant and Calmer Therapies Day Spa… So why has it made it to the list of our top Gold Coast family resorts? Check out the amazing lagoon style pool which comes complete with snake-like water-slides- I’m pretty sure this will keep the kids entertained for hours on end! During School holiday periods there is even an on-site lifeguard, it doesn’t get much better than that giving mum and dad a real chance to relax while the kids can spend hours on end in the pool with a real sandy beach.
There are pool side BBQ areas available for guests to use as-well as two full sized tennis courts- something you don’t usually find in the newer resorts anymore. Sun City Resort really does offer it all giving you the opportunity to do as little or as much as you like during your Surfers Paradise holiday. If you don’t plan on getting a hire car while staying at Sun City Resort public transport is not a problem, shuttle busses run along the Gold Coast Highway (about a 1 minute walk) frequently throughout the day going to Broadbeach,
If you’re a family or two couples travelling for more than just a few nights you won’t want to spend it cramped up in a hotel room, one thing that Sun City Resort Surfers Paradise defiantly offers is space, the apartments here are huge and fully self-contained with a full sized kitchen, lounge, dining area and big comfortable bedrooms.
